Lesson Plan: “The Tell Tale Heart”
Day 1: Introduce Edgar Allan Poe with a TED video, review figurative language vocabulary, and play review games using Gimkit, Blooket, and Quizlet.
Day 2: Begin reading and annotating “The Tell-Tale Heart” with the audio version, using the Annotations Google Doc and Christopher Lee's reading.
Day 3: Finish reading and annotating, and start the C.E.R. Activity to support the claim that the narrator is unreliable.
Day 4: Complete the C.E.R. Activity and begin the Tell-Tale Heart Movie Premier Poster Activity.
Day 5: Polish and illustrate posters, then showcase student work in a Gallery Walk digitally or on the walls.
